Leatherhead SEEC Round 9
Check2CheckWas looking forward to racing back at Slab after not ridden there for such a long time, does not mean I had my rose tinted glasses on because from pass experience Slab can turn brutal from one lap to the next. I started of well by promptly dumping the bike in the first deep rutted corner and did the same on the next after that it did not take me long to get the technique down.Cruising in from my first lap I could already see this was going to get a lot tougher as more bikes chewed up the ground.
Cruising in from my first lap I could already see this was going to get a lot tougher as more bikes chewed up the ground. Decided to do my special test on the second lap and did not have to queue up, first few corners were fine but then my handlebars must have grown a few inches as I was constantly clipping trees or had to stop and thread through them, gave up "racing it" and just rode round the remainder.

To be honest the rest of the Enduro was a non event really I started to get tired, the blister on my hands started to bug me, the course was cutting up badly add a rubbish special test time and the my usual will to finish every event I start left me for once and I quit with just 4 laps left. Strangely enough I did not feel bad about doing it I have the view if you quit an Enduro just because you find it hard you are on a downward spiral to find any old excuse the next time without giving it your best effort. We shall find out next year if my thesis is correct as I move up a group.

Result: DNF

SP Time: 8th Quickest
